Deadpool knows full well that people love his and Logan's dynamic and that they could be a franchise all their own in the Marvel Universe. While it would have been hilarious if Deadpool had name-dropped DC's Batman and Robin, the gist of his hopes is still easily understood with his references to The X Files' Scully and Mulder, Star Trek's Kirk and Spock , and more. But the betrayal of MAVERICK stings worst of all! Just what is so valuable in that briefcase that it pits mutant against mutant.against C.I.A.? WOLVERINE #22- WHO CAN YOU TRUST? WOLVERINE is trapped in an adamantium prison, and it's probably DEADPOOL's fault.

To that end, Deadpool has teamed up with Wolverine to uncover a major conspiracy involving one of Logan's severed hands, the CIA's anti-mutant division, and Danger (the living embodiment of the Xavier School's Danger Room). Instead, the Merc with the Mouth has taken up a new tactic: trying to make himself a valuable asset to get back onto X-Force like in the old days. Feeling incredibly disrespected that he's still not allowed on the mutant nation of Krakoa, Wade has given up trying to sneak onto the island after multiple failed attempts. In previous issues of Wolverine, Deadpool has decided to take over Logan's comic seeing as how he presently doesn't have an ongoing series of his own. Hilariously, this seems to be Wilson's consolation goal if Logan can't be convinced to let Deadpool back on X-Force in this new issue.

Completely ignoring the obvious fact that Wolverine hates Deadpool's guts (especially when they're all over the place), Wade believes he and Logan would make the perfect Dynamic Duo in the Marvel Universe. In a new preview for Marvel Comics' Wolverine, Wade Wilson's Deadpool makes the case for why Logan should ditch the X-Men and become his new partner instead. Warning! Contains a preview for Wolverine #22
